As a child, I remember my father telling me that anything worth doing is worth doing well. This conversation, as is true with most conversations of importance in the Revord family household, was held in my parents kitchen.
Our family is a very passionate one. We have a strong passion for hosting and a strong love for our country. Upon retiring from the Iron Mountain police force, our father decided to take his passion for both of these things and combine them together around what has always brought our family together: dinner.
We hope that The White House Tavern & Grill provides to you the same opportunity that it does for us. We have tried our best to keep our prices low enough and our portions generous enough that anyone could afford to come together for dinner and make memories with their family. Don't worry, we didn't skimp on quality either.
Our restaurant is adorned with cartoon renditions of some of our nation's most notable political figures along our red, white, and blue walls. The artwork was created by our good family friend, Samantha Biallas, with some paintings done by our cousin, Brock Rumohr. Founded in August of 2010, we pride ourselves in being one of the only places to offer southern-style barbecue in the Upper Peninsula.
